I enjoyed this, Gerald...
with "knocks" I get an image of rose hips clacking against the glass.(hmmmm...an interesting view, now that I think of it!).

after the wind died down and we had a short sunny spell i actually went out and did a bit of judicious pruning!
I have a tree outside my office window that "knocks" on my window often.:) A visiting rosebush sounds prettier.
i can picture this one... lovely!
I like this so much...brings a song sound to mind
